If you have just finished your GCSEs with excellent grades and are keen to train for a career in Engineering, you could move straight into this Level 3 course. This course leads directly on to the BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering at Level 3, which will then lead you on to university. This course will cover Electrical, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and you will study a range of subjects including: - Engineering Design: you will learn how to use CAD and produce 3D models - Electronic Engineering: designing and building your own electronic circuits of the type used in security alarms, remote control model vehicles - Mathmatics for engineering technicians and mechanical and electrical principles

Suitability - Who should attend?

You will have achieved 4 or more GCSE grades at A* - C including Maths and a science subject, or have successfully completed a Level 2 qualification, such as: the BTEC Diploma in Engineering Level 2, with passes in the Maths and Applied Electrical and Mechanical Science for Engineering units.
