Course description
If you would like to work in the Motorsport industry as part of a pit crew then this course is ideal. You will train as a vehicle technician - covering both the practical and theoretical aspects of the job - and you'll have the chance to apply your knowledge by working as part of the College's pit crew at weekend race events. The course is made up of 6 units including: Motorsport health and safety Vehicle Systems Engine Technology Engineering Design Manufacturing Technologies Logistics of moving the vehicle and equipment to the race venue You will also complete a project, the theme of which will be discussed with your course tutor.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will need a BTEC Diploma in Motorsport at Level 2 or GCSE grades as follows: GCSE Grade B in Maths; Grade C or above in Science (double) and Grade C or above in English. Mature students may be able to gain accreditation for prior learning by arrangement with the Course Co-coordinator.
