You will study for the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma with Personal Finance in year 1 and move on to the Extended Diploma with Personal Finance in year 2. Given the content of the programme, and the benefits our partnership with Career Ready, you must be prepared to study for the 2 years. The paid internships (which are between 4 and 6 weeks) are offered during the summer break after your first year on the course. You must make yourself available to take advantage of these opportunities and that means you will not be able to take any holiday. This may sound harsh, but it's a great opportunity. You will benefit from an industry specialist mentor, go on field trips, take part in a summer internship, and have the opportunity to develop "real world" personal, financial and technical skills that could make you a business leader of tomorrow. You will study business and financial related topics such as: - the business environment and how business operates - how businesses market their products and services - recruitment and selection - how the financial services sector is regulated, ethics and trends - business communications - business resources - business financial performance - financial services to support business
