Course description
This Level 3 course will develop your motor vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification skills. You will complete a number of mandatory and optional units covering diagnostics in engines, transmission, vehicle electrics and chassis systems (steering, brakes and suspension), as well as further developing their health & safety and fabrication skills. Within the workshop you will be using vehicle diagnostic equipment such as code readers and OBD II equipment as part of the course as well dismantling vehicle components/systems to assess, diagnose and rectify faults.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will have achieved 4 or more GCSE grades at A* - C including either English or Maths or have successfully completed an appropriate Level 2 qualification such as the IMI Level 2 Certificate or Diploma.
