Course description
The world of media production - video, radio and journalism - is exciting and dynamic! On this course you will explore the Creative Media industry and related specialist sectors such as video, audio and digital photography. This course will give you a sound knowledge of all aspects of producing messages for media broadcast from which you could progress on the BTEC Level 2 courses which we also offer. You will use industry-standard equipment and learn in our state-of-the-art workshops and studios. The topics you will cover include: - Music Video Production - Video Editing - Exploring Digital Photography - Understanding the Media Industries - Radio Production

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is designed for students aged between 16 and 19 years of age. You will have some achievement at GCSE including English grade E-G and Maths grade E-G. You will have an initial assessment of your literacy skills and will need to achieve a score of Entry Level 3 in order to gain access to the course. You will need to be motivated to follow a vocational programme of study and demonstrate a commitment to the course. Acceptance onto the course is also subject to a reference from a previous tutor or employer.
