Course description
The world of media production - video, radio and journalism - is exciting and dynamic. This course will give you a sound knowledge of all aspects of producing messages for media broadcast from which you could progress on the BTEC Level 3 courses which we also offer. You will use industry-standard equipment and learn in our state-of-the-art workshops and studios. The topics you will cover include: Video Production - this includes location filming, and video editing techniques Photography - this includes studio and location photography and digital and darkroom techniques. Multimedia experience - this will include a range of interactive media work using text, images and sound. In addition you will study 4 core units designed to extend your understanding of how the Media works: Research for Creative Media Production Communication Techniques for Creative Media Production The creative Media Sector Media Audiences and Products

Two GCSEs at grade D or above or Level 1 qualification with Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1 Plus a reference and supporting portfolio of work
