Course description

Registered Nurse Degree (Mental Health) Apprenticeship

The nursing degree apprenticeship focuses on the inclusion of service users and carers as an integral part of the delivery of the programme. This will ensure that person-centred recovery processes are addressed throughout the programme in the development of the student.

Nursing is a vast field with many areas of specialism and scope for career advancement. Working as a nursing professional you will need to manage complex, sensitive and often pressured situations. You are in a position where compassion, trust and expertise are essential as you care for service users in a wide number of circumstances and with differing needs.

Through the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (Mental Health) you will become capable and competent in meeting the key care needs of all patient groups. The mental health field of practice modules will be further informed by critical engagement with current mental health agendas and developments. As you will learn whilst gaining hands-on experience you will be able to put your studies into practice immediately. You will see how your skills translate into the workplace, benefitting the service users, their families and your colleagues.
