Course description
Understanding basic recognition and treatment of paediatric injuries or illness and be able to be competent in administering basic paediatric first aid.
This course is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Course Content: • Aims and responsibilities • Recording of incidents and accidents and contents of first aid kit • How to deal with an emergency • Resuscitation CPR • Recovery Position • Choking/ Asthma • Recognise and how to deal with shock • Treatment and control of bleeding • Febrile convulsions, seizures
