Course description

This programme which is of a practical nature, covers a range of DIY/home improvement skills and is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. The course consists of Health and Safety in the home and workshop. Familiarisation of the tools, workshop and tool card. Learning about second fix carpentry including door (hinges/locks), architrave and skirting. Kitchens and bathrooms - practise ceramic tiling including cutting, grouting and drilling tiles. Building in brick, finding principles, laying out and try levelling a wall. Some basic plumbing using Pushfit pipes and connectors. Steel toe-cap boots will be needed as you will be in a workshop environment.
