This training package provides an excellent opportunity for anyone who is considering a career into the Building Services Engineering sector, covering both the very basics and progress to a comprehensive understanding of domestic plumbing to theory and practical elements and NVQ Level 2 completion which gives your the recognition you need as fully qualified Plumber.
If you are looking to start your career as a Plumber or have your already gained experienced formally recognised, you will need to become NVQ Level 2 qualified. All prospective candidates’ will need to ensure they have achieved their Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing (Technical Certificate) before considering registering for an Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating qualification.
Suitability - Who should attend?
This comprehensive training package applies to any prospective learners which are considering a career in plumbing & heating, but who would like some experience of the job role first, or those industry experienced individuals which lack a formal qualification to recognise their skills.
Your qualification combines theory and practical workshop sessions training. Final assessments will include passing your on-screen online examinations, alongside your simulated practical assessments at our Training Centre and workplace-based NVQ assessments.
There are no formal entry requirements to enrol for this course, however, you’re in the driving seat – all you need is ambition of acquiring the skills and knowledge that would shape up your profession as a Plumber.
Training Course Content
Your qualification covers a wide range of subjects required by anyone working in the domestic plumbing and heating industry. Your following below training and qualifications will be included in our course fee:
- Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing (formerly known as 6035 Technical Certificate in Plumbing Studies)
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
- NICEIC Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems Course (Plumbers’ essential 1 day training course)
- NICEIC Water Regulations Course (Plumbers’ essential 1 day training course)
- JIB Blue Plumbers’ CSCS Card
Following the successful completion of your Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Course, you’ll then progress towards completing your NVQ Level 2 which is included in your package.
Course delivery details
- CDC Group will provide you with access to the City & Guilds SmartScreen e-Learning Platform where you’d be able to access all your course materials for 12 months.
- All your required course materials required to completed course will also be provided, alongside relevant equipment for your practical tasks being included.
- All the required Tools, Equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be also provided by us when you’re training in our workshops.
Duration
Part-time learners can usually complete this course within 12 months from registration. Full-time learners can achieve this within 4-6 months, depending on availability and commitment. Full-time support and advice will be provided throughout your course. Our current attendance is based on 1-day a week, Wednesdays and Fridays.
