Homestudy Option Available

Our Level 2 Plumbing course can either be undertaken at our training centre or alternatively our home study option lets you start your learning from home and then complete the practical elements of the course at our training centre at a later date.

What Youll Learn

This package of learning will take you through learning to achieve a City & Guilds level 2 Plumbing qualification, WRAS and G3 certificates and move you on to assessment for NVQ.

The City & Guilds level 2 Diploma qualification forms the basis of knowledge for all modern domestic plumbing and the NVQ will assist you if you are looking to undertake site related work. A WRAS certificate will enable you to join an Approved Contractors' Scheme like WIAPS - Water Industry Approved Plumbers' Schemeand a G3 certificate will open the door for you to work on Unvented Hot Water Systems.

These areindustry recognised, formal trade qualificationsand are required in order for candidates to progress further in the plumbing industry.

How Youll Learn

C&G 6035 level 2 Diploma

The level 2 Plumbing Diploma course is a real mixture of practical and theory training, and you are assessed for the qualification by undertaking both practical assignments and on-line exams. We will provide you with everything you need to achieve this qualificationincluding a level 2 Plumbing reference book.Our level 2 Plumbing training centre has fantastic facilities with an abundance of up-to-date tools and equipment for you to use and the entire course is supported by the tuition and guidance of our dedicated Plumbing Instructors. Additionally, we will also provide access to a variety of plumbing videos to assist you during your training and afterwards should you ever need a quick refresher when you are on a job.

C&G 6189 NVQ

The level 2 NVQ is achieved by way of work-based assessments once you have access to work. Achievement of the NVQ will give you access to a JIB PMES Blue Card which will be a requirement for any site work you are considering.

WRAS

This is a one-day course learning materials are sent out ahead of attendance and on the day, you will receive training and undertake an exam.

G3 Vented and Unvented Hot Water Systems

This is a one-day course learning materials are sent out ahead of attendance and on the day, you will receive training and undertake an exam and practical assessment.

If you would also like to consider becoming Gas Safe registered then gas training will be your next natural step - within ourGas Trainingsection there are a variety of different options available to you dependent upon which aspects of the process you would need Able Skills to provide for you.

Additional Info

This 6035 level 2 Diploma is available Full Time or Part Time at Weekends (on a 2 weekend on and 2 weekend off basis). AHome Studyoption is also available. The NVQ aspect is work based assessment and you will be allocated an Assessor to assist you through the process. Prior to allocating you with your NVQ portfolio, we will ensure that you undergo a profiling session with your assessor so that the entire NVQ process and requirements can be explained to you fully. The WRAS and G3 courses are completed during the week.

Location

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

Duration & Cost

This C&G 6035 level 2 is available as follows:

Full Time - 6 weeks

Part Time Weekends (2 consecutive weekends per month)

The NVQ has a 3-year registration period in which you are expected to achieve this qualification.

Deposit required is £750.00 (£500 secured against the level 2 Diploma and £250 against the NVQ process)

Payments can then be made in instalments as follows:

6035 level 2 Diploma

£449.16 x 6 payments if on a full-time diploma

£385 x 7 payments if on the weekend diploma

6189 - NVQ

£250.00 on the profiling date

£250 for site visit 1

£250 for site visit 2

£295 completion fee

WRAS/G3

£450 to book for both courses they are completed over 2 days.

A £500 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid in 6 weekly instalments of £449.16

Part Time Weekends (2 consecutive weekends per month) - £3195.00 including vat

A £500 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid in 7 instalments of £385 (payable on the first weekend of each block).
