Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course

If you want to learn to be a plumber from home but your lifestyle doesnt allow you to commit to structured patterns of learning then maybe this Home Study option is the answer. Learn all of the theory from our very comprehensive Plumbing manual and then when you are ready and at your leisure, arrange to come to Able Skills for required On-line exams and practical training and assessments.

You will achieve the foundation skills and knowledge to move in to the plumbing industry .

This home study plumbing course covers various aspects of plumbing including:

• Health and safety in building services engineering
• Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
• Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
• Common plumbing processes
• Cold water systems
• Domestic hot water systems
• Sanitation
• Central heating systems
• Drainage systems
• Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering

You will be provided with a plumbing courses home study pack which will provide you with all of the theory relating to the topics listed above. You can study this at your own pace and in a manner that you see fit. When you are ready, you can then attend Able Skills to undertake practical training and assessment on the plumbing tasks listed and you will also undertake on-line multiple choice exams to test all of the theory that you have learned at home.

Once you have achieved this level 2 plumbing qualification you can consider undertaking a level 3 plumbing qualification or if you are already working as a plumber, you could consider being assessed for NVQ level 2.

Once you have completed your plumbing home study learning pack and you are ready to tackle the exams and the practical tasks, you can call and book your training slots with us. You are allocated 20 days to achieve this qualification and you can do this during the week, Monday to Friday, breaking the time up into 4 separate weekly slots to suit you.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

The total cost for this Home Study plumbing qualification is £2500.00including VAT. You start by paying £500 to receive the home study manual and then when you attend, the balance is paid in instalments. £500 for each week of attendance.
