Our ILM level 7 Executive coaching and mentoring certificate develops higher level coaching skills and an understanding of how to establish and utilise coaching and/or mentoring at an organisational and strategic level.
So, if you're looking to develop a high level of coaching skills in your organisation and want to raise your understanding of how coaching can be implemented within your organisation then this programme is ideal.
This programme shares proven models and theories and encourages your participants to explore these and to use them as a coaching strategy for your organisation.
Our programme tutors bring first-hand experience of implementing major coaching initiatives in industry to inform this exploration.
Our friendly and supportive team guides your group along its entire coaching journey, from embedding learning and qualifying as an ILM Level 7 certified coach to implementing a coaching strategy within your workplace.
This programme will provide participants with an internationally recognised coaching qualification, equivalent to a master's degree. As well as delivering this programme in-house, we also run public programmes for the ILM Level 7 regularly, open to individuals who want to gain the qualification – or for organisations who don’t have a large enough group of potential participants to need an in-house programme.

Course delivery details
This programme can be delivered either face-to-face,7 days in total, usually 2+2+2+1 or virtually via 21 x 2-hour modules over a circa 24-week period.
The ideal group size is up to 9 participants.
Each participant is onboarded by our team, provided with a printed workbook, professionally supported throughout the programme and given access to our excellent Learning Hub.
To gain the ILM Level 7 qualification, participants will need to compile a portfolio of evidence throughout the programme, consisting of:
- Records of a minimum 30-hours workplace coaching or mentoring with senior level coaches.
- 3 written assignments, focused on their understanding of coaching, application and review of their practice and the organisational development of their coaching strategy.
- 3 book reviews of our recommended reads.
- Evidence of their own learning and development, including tutorial notes, supervision notes and reflections.
The journey from the start of the programme through to completing the qualification usually takes 15-18 months.
