Course description
Level 2: Building Physics and Thermal Comfort
This online course provides an overview of the means by which it is possible to identify energy saving opportunities arising from improvements in a building's fabric. It will cover how to assess solar gains and the role of glazing, factors that impact on a building's demand for thermal energy, key passive design considerations, the role of computer software in design and certification of energy performance, and the performance gap - the difference between design expectations and operational performance.
This course is self-paced and can be started at any time.
