Course description
This course will cover many different aspects of dental radiography in small animal practice, and the day will be equally split between traditional lectures and practical sessions.
Specific areas to be covered
Understand ways to generate dental X-rays using either standard X-ray units or dental X-ray units including the pros and cons of each machine.
Understand the different way to capture radiographic images including film and digital systems
Understand the different techniques for producing diagnostic images: parallel vs bisecting angle techniques
Produce a set of diagnostic radiographs for both dogs and cats
Understand how the positioning of non-diagnostic images can be altered to become diagnostic
Understand the basics of radiological interpretation
Numbers are strictly limited to 12 due to the practical nature of the course – please book your place early to avoid disappointment.
