Course description
Endocrine patients encompass a wide variety of medical conditions and can be some of the most challenging and rewarding patients. This course will discuss the disease processes, diagnostic testing and imaging, anaesthesia of both stable and unstable patients, nursing considerations, and an overview of treatments available along with client education.
Specific areas to be covered:
• Hypoadrenocorticism
• Hyperadrenocorticism
• Diabetes mellitus
• Hyperthyroidism
