Course summary
This day course aims to cover the many diseases and disorders which cause PUPD in our patients. The course will cover pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition and important nursing considerations for the various diseases. We will also cover the important features of urinalysis, interpretation of biochemical parameters and more advanced diagnostic testing. We will also discuss how to distinguish PUPD from urinary incontinence and signs of lower urinary tract disease.
Please feel free to bring any cases for discussion on the day.

Canine hypoadrenocorticism and hyperadrenocorticism (Addisons & Cushings disease)
Placement and nursing care of central lines and feeding tubes
Canine hypothyroidism and feline hyperthyroidism
Pyometritis
Hypercalcaemia
