What will I learn?
Dressmaking - the next step course builds on the basic skills taught during the first week. More skilled techniques are taught so that more challenging sewing projects can be undertaken. Be the end of the course you will learn how to adjust patterns, and simple pattern drafting, how to sew various zip fastenings, how to sew more challenging techniques such as a placket, boning and using stretch and fine fabrics, etc, to be familiar with certain fabrics and finishes and be able to confidently construct a item of clothing following a commercial paper sewing pattern instructions.
