HSG47 - U3 Theory and Practical Use of SPX CAT & Genny 3 / 3+ Locators
This training course will provide participants with a practical understanding of locating underground services in accordance with HSG47, including the safe operation of CAT 3, 3+ Cable Avoidance Tool and Signal Generator (GENNY). The programme is tailored to meet the health & safety training requirements for site managers and supervisors who are required to interpret utility plans and demonstrate their knowledge in the safe use of SPX 3 and SPX Cat 3+.
The course explores the legislation and regulatory framework underlying HSG47designed to enable construction personnel avoid danger from Underground Services. More specifically, the course will address the practical operation of cable avoidance equipment.
