CRD Kit Harness Rescue (MOD 5c): course for operatives using fall protection equipment
HSS' CRD Kit Harness Rescue course will enable participants to rescue casualties who have fallen from tower cranes using the Gotcha CRD rescue kit.
Designed for operatives who have experience working with personal fall protection equipment, the short programme instructs Participants in the correct use of:
- Fully Body Harnesses
- Single and Double Fall Arrest Lanyards
- Gotcha CRD rescue Kit
- Gotcha Suspension Loop
Combining theory with practice, the training will equip participants with the key casualty management and rescue skills needed to raise and lower an unconscious suspended casualty using the appropriate methods and procedures. Companies who choose to have this course delivered in-house can also choose to cover a number of optional elements, which include remote deployment and use in conjunction with a stretcher.

Who should attend?
This course is suitable for operatives who are conversant in the use of personal fall protection equipment and would like to develop their skills is using the Gotcha CRD rescue kit.
Pre-requisites:
Participants must have attended the Harness - Height Safety Equipment Appreciation and Inspection course prior to enrolling on this programme. They must also be able to certify that they are physically able to work at height.
