Coaching and Mentoring Development Programme - CMI Level 5

The Coaching and Mentoring Programme - CMI Level 5 is underpinned by current theory and practice, focusing on coaching fundamentals; what effective coaching and mentoring looks like and drawing links to the achievement of goals.

The programme is highly self-reflective and will help individuals to develop a better understanding of their own strengths, weaknesses and the influence they can have on others. Participants will gain an insight into their role in building a performance-focused culture and how to maximise internal resources to build high-performing teams. The programme has been designed to help in the engagement of staff so that they become more productive and satisfied in their work.

Participants will experience and reflect upon different coaching approaches, develop a sound understanding of effective coaching methods, and learn how they can adapt and develop their own approach to leadership within their organisation.

The course will focus on how coaching and mentoring conversations can be used to directly support personal and professional development.

  • Coaching and mentoring in relation to individual and organisational change
  • Problem identification and problem-solving in coaching and mentoring
  • Valuation of coaching and mentoring, including cutting edge methodology in measuring return on investment (ROI)
  • Group coaching practice 4 (Coaching Board or Action Learning)
  • Perceptual positioning: seeing situations from others’ perspectives to better deal with conflict and improve self-awareness
