Leadership and "Me"
1 day (Face to Face or Online)
LaPD's Leadership and Me workshop is designed to help individuals discuss various aspects of leadership and finally make some well-informed decisions about how "they" should use their leadership skills.
During the day we reflect on why we must each use different ingredients to lead and how regardless of our role or position, we can still use our leadership skills differently but to great effect.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to describe your own personal leadership style, your personal strengths and at least 3 areas of development.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This day is for anyone who wishes to develop their leadership skills and approach. It is also suitable for those more seasoned leaders as it gives them a health check and allows them to adapt and polish various aspects of their own leadership style.
This course is open to anyone regardless of experience, age or position in the organisation especially future leaders and managers.
Training Course Content
Participants will learn about various leadership styles, what makes a great leader, discuss aspects of leading others and examining the ingredients they already have and how to use them best.
We will look at:
- What great leadership is to "us" and why that is.
- A few common leadership styles
- Barriers to effective leadership
- Emotional Intelligence and why it is a "must-have" ingredient of highly effective leaders.
- How situational leadership works and why we need to understand it.
- How to engage the hearts and minds of others.
- How we need to make people feel when we lead them.
- Understanding how all of the above (and more), helps us bring people with us so we don't have to push them or pull them there.
Course delivery details
We offer both classroom/Face to Face (F2F) and online (Zoom) options.
Our (F2F) option can be facilitated at your organisation or at a venue booked by you for that day.
Our online sessions are facilitated through Zoom. They are converted from a one-day classroom-style event into a series of interactive Zoom sessions totalling 8 online hours.
Each Zoom session can be planned to last 2, 3 or 4 hours (4 is our maximum duration).
All our sessions come with direct post-event support.
