Principles for Digital Skills in Employment | Level 2 | Certificate (Free Online)
It is estimated that one in five adults lack foundation skills in digital technology. To fill this gap, we have introduced this Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ) based on the Government's national standards. These qualifications are designed for adults aged 19+ and will give you the skills you need to access jobs.

Suitability - Who should attend?
To qualify for a FREE Level 1, 2 or 3 online learning course, you must:
- You must be aged 19 years or over as at 1/9/21
- You must have lived in the UK for the last three years, or be able to prove your residency status, for example, indefinite leave to remain, settled status or you are an Asylum seeker who has been in the UK for more than 6 months.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
The FREE qualifications are intended to support you to join the digital world by learning skills for life, their work or for use in further study. The 5 areas covered are:
- Using devices and handling information (includes how to store information)
- Creating and editing
- Communicating online (such as via Social Media)
- Transacting (buying) online activities
- Being responsible, safe and legal online
