Presented by barrister and Head of Addington Chambers Hartley Foster, this session will address the special provisions that pertain to VAT on costs that are the subject of either summary or detailed assessment before the High Court.
Practical advice and tips will be provided, and Hartley will discuss VAT on counsels’ fees, the rules in respect of VAT on disbursements, what happens if the paying party disputes that VAT is payable, and what happens if the rate of VAT changes during the course of proceedings.
