This course is aimed at beginners - those with no or very little experience wishing to learn the techniques and progress. The aim of this course is to learn a set of jewellery skills that will enable you to design and make your own jewellery. As the course progresses you will learn about and experiment with sheet metal and wire, using a variety of jewellery making tools.
You will learn how to use a variety of jewellery tools to gain the necessary basic skills such as designing, cutting, filing, drilling, polishing, texturing, annealing, soldering, cleaning and wirework. These skills will enable you to design and make your own jewellery. On completion you will expand your skills with further full-time courses or Saturday workshops and develop a hobby that can lead to a successful career.
