Course description
If you would like to learn how to paint in watercolour, but have only a little experience or no experience, then this is the course for you. Watercolour can be a lot of fun and to start you will learn how to lay washes of colour and how to mix colours. We will then move on to painting from still life objects and then painting from photographs or images that interest you. The course will enable you to work at your own pace and act as an introduction to the medium to show how accessible and rewarding painting in watercolour can be.
What will I learn?
We will be painting washes onto paper and looking at paint effects and how to mix colours so that your knowledge and experience can grow. We will start by practising colour mixing and painting spheres, so that you can create form. We will learn all the basic skills such as lifting out and 'wet-on-wet'. This can then be developed into painting images that interest you.
