OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology
The Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology will help the learner to build the strong foundation in the field of technology. The course is mainly targeting for the learner who wish to build their career in IT sector. OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 6 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Bachelor’s Degrees with Honours, Bachelor’s Degrees, Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Graduate Diplomas and Graduate Certificates.

Suitability - Who should attend?
- Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 diploma or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
- Mature learners (over 21) with management experience
- International students whose first language is not in English, they will need to have score of 5.5 or above in IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

- All the important management theories and models are covered in this course. As a result, the students will gain a better understanding of the various management techniques that are applicable in the workplace.
- Will be helpful to the students to develop their problem-solving skills through the practical application of the various management models and theories.

The unit helps the learner to understand the basics concepts of networking in an IT industry. It also help the learner to achieve the knowledge of risk relating to organisation security.

The unit aim to get the knowledge of advanced data analytics. Learner must have some programming skills to perform the analytical tasks.

Continuing Studies
Progression Learners completing the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Business Management will allow progress to:
- OTHM Level 7 Diplomas; or
- Will be eligible to gain direct entry into relevant Master’s degree programmes; or
- Directly into employment in an associated profession.
