Course description

What will I learn?

This is a great opportunity to be in a real working environment and learn a job role with support to help you to settle in. When in College, you gain a wide range of skills including personal preparation for work, independent travelling, job search skills and effective behaviour at work. You also have a placement/ internship where you will work with an employer in partnership with the College. Your placement will be found to match your abilities & interests. You will be on placement as an Intern for a number of months where you learn and practice different tasks. In addition, you also work towards important Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English.

• You do not need any qualifications.• Aged 18-24, and have an Education, Health & Care Plan EHCP).• Have a positive attitude and enthusiasm to work.• Be willing to travel independently or to be taught to travel independently.• Have flexibility around working hours.
