The USA have very heavy controls on some of their goods; incorrect end-use of certain US technology and lead to potential fines and penalties – ultimately being denied the right to trade with the USA. This course looks at the controls and regulations affecting goods that are caught under the EAR and ITAR

The course looks at the US export licensing procedure, the regulations and the responsibility of UK/EU companies under the re-export regulations. The USA have very heavy controls on some of their goods; incorrect end-use of certain US technology and lead to potential fines and penalties – ultimately being denied the right to trade with the USA – so it is important to understand the impact of these regulations on your business. This course looks at the controls and regulations affecting goods that are caught under the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR – eg dual-use) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, eg military) with the aim of assisting you in setting up compliant internal procedures. It covers the US ITAR, EAR regulations and extra-territoriality re-export controls from a UK perspective and addresses areas where these American regulations may affect a UK trader. Fully updated in-line with the Export Control Reform (ECR) and the introduction of 600 Series controls, 9X515 and Cyber Security.
