This practical one–day hands-on course will focus on linking anatomy with clinical conditions in greyhounds. The course is very much hands-on with various interactive tasks to explain the biomechanics. Delegates will also be able to view and handle museum specimens of key areas of the MSK system in order to strengthen their understanding of MSK function and disease. There will also be a session on the MSK examination of racing greyhounds.

Topics Covered:

  • Injuries of the racing greyhounds
  • Anatomy and biomechanics of the MSK system.
  • Soft tissue and orthopaedic diseases.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the injuries of the racing greyhounds.
  • Relate surface anatomy to the underlying features.
  • Critically relate MSK anatomy to clinical cases and biomechanics.

This course is suitable for people with working/sport dog affiliations (e.g. greyhound trainers, dog agility members), physiotherapists, veterinary physiotherapists, animal science course educators/students, veterinary nurses, veterinary surgeons, osteopaths.
