Course description

This practical one–day hands-on course will focus on linking anatomy with clinical conditions in sporting/working dogs, but with relevance to non-sporting/working dogs. The course is very much hands-on with various interactive tasks to explain the biomechanics. Delegates will also be able to view and handle museum specimens and dissections of key areas of the MSK system in order to strengthen their understanding of MSK function and disease.
Topics to be covered include:
• Anatomy and biomechanics of the MSK system.
• Soft tissue and orthopaedic diseases.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course the delegates should have an understanding and ability in the following areas:
• Relate surface anatomy to the underlying features.
• Critically relate MSK anatomy to clinical cases and biomechanics.
Required Delegate Attributes:
This course is designed for veterinary nurses and allied animal health care and therapy professionals.
