Course description
This 5 day course is designed to equip both lawyers and non-lawyers alike with the skills required to be effective mediators. It is split between the teaching of the theories behind mediation as a tool for effective dispute resolution and the teaching of the skills required to be an effective mediator.
Delegates will be put into role play situations and over the course of the week will play the role of both mediator and parties to the mediation. In the final stages of the course delegates will be assessed by experienced mediators who will determine whether or not the required standard has been met.
Delegates who successfully pass the course will become CEPMLP accredited mediators and will be placed on the centre’s approved panel of mediators.
