Course description
The Construction Industry is in a period of significant change. A significant part of the focus of that change is on the legislation relating to the industry. Since the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower in 2017 the Government have been focused on changing the legislation to ensure it is more robust around building safety.
This course will review the recent changes made to Building Regulations in the first steps to a more robust legislative regime. The course will also look forward to the proposed changes detailed in the Draft Building Safety Bill recently published with the Governments aim to deliver the biggest changes to building safety in nearly 40 years.
On this short course you'll:
- understand recent changes that have been made to building regulations
- be aware of the future changes that are proposed
- identify changes to culture and working practices that can be done to prepare for that change
