Many veterinarians include reproductive services in their practices but work primarily with the mare side of the fertility equation. However, the other half of the equation – the stallion - rarely receives the attention that it deserves. This discussion will focus on the latest from the stallion side of equine fertility management.

The international panel of world-renowned stallion experts will begin the discussion with male-factor topics with which every veterinarian involved in equine breeding management should be familiar with, current state-of-the-art methods for semen analysis of fresh, cooled and frozen semen samples, examination of normal and abnormal testicles, and important infectious diseases of stallions (incl. EVA, CEM & other bacterial pathogens).

The discussion will then progress to more advanced stallion topics for those who are keen to take their knowledge to the next level, such as developing the best approaches for dealing with subfertile stallions, libido modulation (both up and down), and common reproductive problems of stallions.

Discussions will center around case-based material selected to highlight important topics in stallion reproduction with plenty of opportunity for attendees to ask questions and panelists to share tips, tricks and pearls of wisdom.
