Course description
This course is designed to offer conservation heritage managers, curators and architects, a broader understanding of developing standards for the conservation of paint within historic interiors. It will consider all types of in-situ historic paint, from plain architectural paint finishes and modern murals to rare wall paintings. The three-day programme will offer guidance on the assessment of significance, commissioning research and conservation, decision-making and community consultation. It will make reference to a wide range of case-studies and the use of interactive activities.
