AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting
An introduction to accounting, covering basic bookkeeping, basic costing, computerised accounts and working effectively in accounting and finance.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above including English and maths (English and maths should be a grade 4 or above) or a Level 1 AAT qualification.

What you'll learn
You will learn about the principles of bookkeeping, costing methods, communications and computerised accounting using Sage software.
You will gain your first professional AAT qualification.
On successful completion, you can then progress on to the AAT Accounting Level 3 Advanced Diploma. There are three levels to the AAT Accounting Qualification. You will spend about a year on each level, so if you start at Level 2, it will take you three years to become fully qualified. If you have previous experience, you could have certain exemptions, and qualify in two years or less.
Course delivery details
This course will be delivered every other week.
Depending on the level you study, you will be learning in a classroom environment over one or two evenings a week.
