What you’ll learn
You will be shown how to work outside responding to what you see in front of you, each week having a new focus such as landscapes, animals and botanical focussed drawings and paintings.
You will learn how to use your sketchbook as a way of relaxing and as a resource that you may work on to create a more finished piece. Techniques taught will include the use of linework, colour, tone, composition and perspective to create your drawings and paintings.
Course delivery details
The workshop will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Merrist Wood campus, with its array of natural resources. Your tutor will be on hand to guide you with demonstrations and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and experiment with materials.
Depending on the weather some of the classes will take place in our base room.
