Guildford College is partnered with the University of the Arts London (UAL), a university solely focused on the creative arts. At the end of this two-year programme, you will achieve a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts, which is equivalent to three A-levels.

Working with the UAL allows us to offer our students a bespoke, pre-university course.

In the first year of this course, you will study for the Diploma. Once that Diploma is successfully achieved, you will be invited to continue on to complete the full Extended Diploma in the second year of the course.

Continuing Studies

On completion of the Extended Diploma, students could move into a variety of different pathways.

The following are examples of what our past Guildford College Performing Arts students are doing now:

  • Studying for a dance/ musical theatre degree at either a university or a vocational dance school.
  • Training to be a musical theatre performer at vocational schools such as Bird College, Urdang, London Studio Centre, Performance Preparation Academy and Millennium, or to be a contemporary dancer and choreographer at places such as London Contemporary Dance School, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
  • Studying for an Acting Degree or Performance Diploma at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Mountview and Guildford School of Acting.
  • Performing and teaching after further training at universities including Middlesex, Kingston and Chichester.
