Course description
AAT Level 3
This course is ideal if you are already working in a financial environment, or you have completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.
The AAT qualification not only provides you status and recognition for the Technician role, but also gives you a route to a qualification with Chartered Professional Accountancy bodies: Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Financial and Public Accountants (CIPFA)etc.
This Level 3 Advanced Diploma builds on the knowledge and understanding you have gained at level 2.
Units you will study include:
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Final Accounts Preparation
- Management Accounting: Costing
- Indirect tax
- Spreadsheets for Accounting
- Ethics for Accounting
On completion of this course you can continue your studies to the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. After that you will be a qualified Accounting Technician. You could then move on to a higher education accountancy course or move into an accountancy firm and start your CIMA or ACCA qualifications - your AAT Level 4 Diploma will exempt you from the first part of many professional accounting courses.
