What will I learn?
This course gives you a strong subject knowledge of all aspects of the music industry and production. Exploring music performance techniques - as instrumentalist, singer or both, music improvisation, composing, arranging, keyboard skills, sound recording techniques, computer technology, listening skills and study of the music industry.
Learners will participate in many music performances projects at the Broadway Theatre including club nights, jams, concerts, and live performance events
The course utiilises a combination of teaching approaches including individual practice, group rehearsals and lectures and demonstrations relating to different musical genres and employability skills that you will need in order to build a career in the music industry.
How will I be taught?
Most assignments take the form of practical performance work. Written assignments take the form form of working notebooks and evaluations.
How will I be assessed?
Most work is assessed by course tutors. with some key assessment points externally moderated.
What can I do after this course?
Education Progression : BA Degree or Foundation Degree or HND in Music or Music Technology
Employment opportunities : professional musician, sound engineer, music management, teaching music, writing and arranging.
