Course description
All our courses are designed to cover the full range of topics and tasks as laid down by the awarding body in response to industry requirements. All practical activities are carried out within our state of the art workshops with theory work being a mix of classroom and assignment activities. The course consists of assessment units which assess the competence of a candidate over a wide range of activities. There will be a high emphasis on Health and Safety and correct working methods. Areas covered by this course are: Introduction to the construction industry. Electrical theory. Assembling 13amp switched sockets wired in ring final circuit. Constructing PVC wiring systems. Cutting, bending, joining and threading conduit. Installing one way lighting circuits. Installing two way lighting circuits.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Entry to the course will be through interview. It is essential for prospective students to hold at least Two GCSE in Mathematics and English at grades 2 or E. A satisfactory reference from School is also required.
