Course description
This course is an ideal introduction to the motor vehicle repair industry. It is a practical-based course, but you will also learn that all-important theory. As well additional support with English and Maths, the course covers: - Light vehicle construction and routine maintenance - Operating principles of light vehicle engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension systems - Operating principles and maintenance of light vehicle transmission systems and electrical and electronic systems You will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will need a basic Maths and English GCSE qualification and be able to carry out practical tasks. You should have an interest and enthusiasm for working with engines and the practical ability to fix and repair automotive systems.
