Course description

Over recent months the regulators have brought forward a number of initiatives which have implications for the culture and people practices in all regulated firms. These initiatives include the review of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, the implementation of the Consumer Duty, proposed amendments to the Threshold Conditions, Fit and Proper test and the Conduct Rules plus measures to boost Diversity and Inclusion across financial services.

These initiatives have the potential to create some significant impacts on the way firms engage with and manage their staff, both immediately and in the near future. Whilst the approach is proportionate, at least to some extent, these various proposals promise to impact all firms, either to achieve compliance or by way of good practice. In consequence, it is inevitable that HR specialists will be called on to engage even more closely with their firm's regulatory obligations.

This workshop has been designed to help participants understand the implications of these various initiatives from a human resources perspective, to enable them to implement appropriate changes to their firm's arrangements and to develop approaches which will place compliance with these obligations at the heart of their firm's culture.
