This qualification is delivered over 3 separate days and is a mixture of both practical and theoretical learning. Practical element will be based around using the Barista coffee machine to prepare a variety of beverages. There will also be some time spent producing a variety of non-coffee based drinks. There will also be time spent on the theoretical aspects of the Barista role and the use of the equipment.
This Level 2 qualification is for people who wish to work in a coffee shop based environment. This course will prepare you to use professional coffee machines in a professional, qualified manner and allow you to gain the skills that will enable you to play a role in this growing industry.
You will learn through a mixture of lectures and practical work. You will also need to undertake some private study between sessions in order to re-enforce the theory and to revise.
Employment opportunities can be found in a wide range of hospitality and catering environments such as hotels, restaurants and coffee shops. This qualification will give you the understanding and confidence to act in the role of Barista.
