Level 2: On-Site Electricity Generation
This online course provides an overview of the opportunities and considerations associated with on-site electricity generation. It will review the components, sizing, financial considerations, and use of diesel generators, CHP generators, and solar photovoltaic systems. You will learn how to identify the types of site appropriate for wind turbines, the essentials of on-site electricity storage, and opportunities for improving efficiency of on-site electricity generation.
This course is self-paced and can be started at any time.

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is recommended for those with 1-2 years' experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A level maths or equivalent.

CPD hours: 10
Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 2 Certificate in On-site electricity generation.
This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 2: Energy Management Professional course and qualification.
