Lifting Equipment Inspection and Record Keeping

This module is designed as an enhancement to Safe Lifting module 1 giving greater detail on the inspection of lifting equipment and accessories.

Course Aims

Who Should Attend?The course is a practical enhancement to Safe Lifting Module 1 for those persons responsible for the more detailed periodic inspections of lifting equipment.The course provides the statutory requirements for inspection, rejection, disposal and reporting procedures for lifting equipment.Participants will set up a recording system for the equipment and carry out periodic inspections throughout the life of a number of items of equipment. The course will also demonstrate some strengths and weaknesses of materials by way of destruction tests.

Certification

Participants successfully completing the course will be awarded a Certificate of attendance and photo ID card valid for three years.Entry RequirementsIt is a requirement to attend the Safe Lifting module prior to attending this course. Click here for further details.
