Course description
Creative Writing: We take an innovative approach to contemporary writing and focus on a deep understanding of the creative writing process. Covering such genres as fiction, poetry and aspects of the novel, we enable you to get the best out of your writing, and progress your level of knowing how best to craft meaningful tales and poems from your life and experiences. As well as educating your imagination in a way that takes you out of your comfort zone, fostering originality and a fecund mind, classes consist of specific writing exercises which are designed to acquaint you with the necessary technical aspects of writing.
The tutor will give advice on writing and moderate discussions about your work between you and your peers. You do not have to be an experienced writer or possess a substantial knowledge of literature. All that is required is an open mind and a willingness to explore new ideas about writing and publishing trends. As such, both experimental works and conventional forms of writing are encouraged.
This course is not intended to aid non-native speakers of English improve their written language skills.
