It is important that asset management practitioners have appropriate competencies to carry out their work. This not only includes detailed knowledge of their specific discipline, but also an overall appreciation of all areas of asset management and an understanding of how these support organisational objectives. Whilst asset management activities may vary across different roles, locations and organisations, there are a large number of common skills and tasks that need to be undertaken by all asset management professionals. The IHE has introduced a Professional Certificate and Diploma in Asset Management, which will allow these core competencies to be assessed and certified to the required standards. This four day course leading to the Professional Certificate in Asset Management is designed for Engineers and Technicians who currently are in, or aspire to take, a Highways Asset Engineer/Manager role; or for Asset Management Professionals. As part of this course you will be expected to complete case studies and small assignments. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
