Training Course Content
Excel Introduction
This one-day instructor led course is designed to give a thorough introduction to the basic skills needed to use Excel effectively. By the end of the course delegates will be able to create, modify and format Excel spreadsheets including designing basic formulas and charts.
- Understand the terminology used in Excel
- Open, close, save and print Excel worksheets
- Enter, edit, and format data
- Use formulas and functions to calculate in Excel
- Create and format a simple chart
Excel Intermediate
This one-day instructor led course is designed to develop the practical skills of Excel users. By the end of the course delegates will be able to use to full advantage a greater range of available Excel functions in order to produce more effective spreadsheets.
- Use advanced formulas and functions (IF, VLOOKUP)
- Define names for individual cells and ranges
- Use the database tools in Excel
- Work effectively with large spreadsheets
Excel Advanced
This one-day instructor led course is designed to give delegates the ability to analyse data in a variety of ways. By the end of the course delegates will be able to use the built in Excel tools to compare data and create projections and also understand and use the macro facility of Excel.
- Analyse data using pivot tables and charts
- Develop solutions to “What if?” scenarios
- Verify calculations and trace errors using the auditing facility
- Automate routine tasks with macros
