Course description
This part-time course provides an introduction to the philosophy and practice of the Montessori approach.
It explores the philosophy and practical techniques needed for the role of supportive Assistant in a real Montessori School and includes the following areas: the development of movement, independence, language, the role of the Montessori Teacher and of the Assistant, social development, art, music, the importance of the school (and home) environment for the child between 2½ - 6 years old.
This Certificate course is excellent preparation for the Montessori AMI Diploma training.
The course starting in April meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on Saturdays (9.30am -4.30pm)
This course is held at the Maria Montessori Institute training premises in central London (Riding House Street W1W 7BE) .
